Of Horton. Had been an inhabitant of the Province since 1762. During the Revolution he had enrolled in the regiment of Volunteer Militia under Michael Francklin. Had been wounded in an action when some of the Militia pursued a rebel armed Shallop, which had taken a schooner form the Avon River, laden with several families and their property, bound for St. John River. The engagement took place in the Minas Basin. Had wife and six children.
