Mary (nee Subba) Chettri's letter of 8 December 1979 to Aileen also mentioned, ''Nobody in our village was expecting that we will have such a big marriage celebration. Because both of us are from very poor family. We (me and Ratan) have been in love for nine years but we were never expecting that we will have such a beautiful wedding day.
