Robertson, Herman Magill & Alfred Scadding entered the mine by this slope, at 11 pm on 12 April 1936, a little before the cave-in occurred which imprisoned them in a slope in the 141 ft. level (about 80 ft. vertical depth) till 12:44-1 a.m., 22 April, when, after frantic efforts, Robertson & Scadding were rescued.
