Halifax 8th December 1801

Received from The Commisioner for the Relief & settling of Indians, by the hand of Michael Wallace. Ten Barrels of Indian Meal & twenty pairs of Indian Blankets, also authority to purchase One Hundred to One Hundred and fifty Bushels of Potatoes at Guysborough to be distributed among such aged & distressed Indians as may stand in need of relief during the ensuing winter in the Eastern district of the Province - Which supplys I promise to account for to said Commissioner.
