Petition of Joseph Paul to James Kempt on behalf of his elderly father, Peter Paul, Horton Corners, requesting relief. Includes a note that 1000 acres are reserved for Mi'kmaq in the rear of Horton township as well as a tract of several thousand acres in its vicinity on which the Mi'kmaq might be accomodated.

Petition of Joseph Paul - an Indian -

Mr. [illegible]. 16 Feb 1825

His Excellency Sir James Kempt, etc. etc. etc.

There is one thousand acres of Land Reservd for Indians in the Rear of Horton Township & a large Tract of several thousand acres in its vicinity, on which the Indians might be accomodated if any means could be found to pay for their survey & they [upon] to Point out the Situation they [illegible] [illegible]
