if it is out of the power of His Ecellency [Excellency] to go for [this] than the [sum] already stated which [illegible] was £40, [illegible] it is [illegible] [illegible] the Indians will be disturbed on the [?succention] & [Iwill] endeavor to procure an application [for] the Inhabitants on behalf of these poor people [to] His Excellency & the Legislature [at] their [next] meeting.

The letter you sent me was by [mistake] [forwarded] to [Antigonish] [illegible] [Commission] [Iwaited] [was] for £20 the 5th. [vote] on the [Cross] [illegible] [lists] for Pictou "how the Bridge at [illegible] [Hugh] [illegible], west "side East Branch East River toward [illegible] Bridge" & it is in the [appropriations] for [this] [illegible]

I am sorry His Excellancys benevolent [intentions] in regard to [these] [Indians] cannot at
present
