The bearer of the annexed petition Michael Thom
being on his way to Halifax, requests my signature
thereto, I therefore beg respectfully to state, that
I agree with the prayer of said petition and
recommend to the favorable consideration of
His Excellency the case of the Indian families
therein named; believing them to be in a distressed state.
