Should His Excellency the Lieut. Governor
have placed at his disposal a small
sum to [?assist] such, and by him thought
proper so to do. Our market teams
returning without much weight on them
would be easily procured at a small
charge [if any charge - underlined].

I would use my best
endeavours to do a fair and proper
distribution amoungst the [?respective] familys
according to their present wants -- and it
is at the request of these poor people and
from personal knowledge I do this -
