Letter from Andrew Henderson of Albion Vale to Joseph Howe regarding travelling to General's Bridge, a site of an annual summer encampment of Mi'kmaq. Also regarding potato distribution, numbers and locations of Mi'kmaq throughout Annapolis County and whether Jack or Charles Glode is the true chief of the Mi'kmaq in the area.

of Annapolis, there are about forty families, and I am happy to inform you that the fatal vice of Intemperance does not prevail to such an extent among them as formerly. Could any thing be done by way of Education, they might yet become a useful class of men.

There is no way by which you can arrive at correct information, but by holding a conference with the Tribe. Jack Globe says he can, at an appointed time, during next month, collect the greater part at the Annapolis Gut. Should this hint meet your approval, you will please make your arrangements, and give me timely notice. If I can be serviceable to you, or useful to this hitherto neglected class of men, you may use my name or command my influence.
