for them on the Hill shall return them, as had not I taken them they must have been nearly starved. I think if you would allow it, to get a barrel of biscuit for the Children who come to school as it would insure their more regular attendance, when they would improve more, and their parents being unable always to supply them, they are about on that account and loose what they have learned. I have herewith sent you a general account of my Receipts and Expenditure which I have put on this sheet to avoid double postage and the first opportunity I have of a private conveyance will sent it in a single sheet with such receipts as you have not had yet, if such is your wish.

This is to certify that the above mentioned Indian Children have under tuition of W Nicholl made proficiency during the last Quarter in reading, writing, and spelling. The attendance of the younger children however has not been so regular as was to be expected, the absolute want of clothing and the inability on the part of the parents to supply them with food during school hours from 9 o clock until four has contributed not a little to break in upon regularity in this particular - more children and some adults have signified a wish to attend when the season will allow.
