Letter from William, Bishop of Halifax, to Joseph Howe regarding Howe's offer to give him money for the relief of poor Mi'kmaq. He says he'd rather have someone else distribute it and directs Howe to give five pounds to the bearer of this letter for his tribe but don't give him any more until the Bishop talks to the Priest. Also includes William's letter to Howe acknowledging receipt of Howe's note. Will consider general subject of Mi'kmaq but cannot promise any personal management because is he is too busy as is.
