Ports and Harbours

Tracing of a petroglyph of two human figures in a canoe.

These tracings of stone drawings show the interaction of the Mi'kmaq people with the vessels that entered various harbours and villages near their traditional fishing locations. Marion Robertson says in Rock Drawings of the Micmac Indians, that this canoe is not the traditional Mi'kmaq "humpback" canoe.
