Spoils of War: Privateering in Nova Scotia

"The News-Carrier's Address to the Customers of the Royal Gazette"

This humourous poem celebrated how the terrors of war had not come to Nova Scotia. But France remained far from defeated and soon both St. Dominigue (later Haiti) and Guadalupe would become home to a host of revolutionary privateers.
