Sir George Prevost, Baronet
Lieutenant-Governor, and Commander in Chief in and over His Majesty’s Province of Nova Scotia, and it’s Dependencies, etc. etc. etc.

To the Honourable MICHAEL WALLACE, Treasurer of the Province.

You are hereby directed to pay unto [The persons?] Hartshorne, Boggs, and Company the Sum of One hundred and sixty three pounds, and four pence halfpenny [£163.0.4 1/2] - out of £350 - noted by the Province for the support of the establishment at Sable Island for the present year out of the Duties of Impost and Excise appropriated for the Support of His Majesty's Government, as granted by the General Assembly of this Province. And in so doing this shall be your Warrant.

Given under my Hand and Seal at Arms at Halifax, this 16th Day of June 1809 in the 49th Year of His Majesty's Reign.
