shall not exceed the amount appropriated.

In further compliance with the wishes His Excellency we shall cause the Government Sch.r "Sisters" to be employed during the ensuing season, when not required for the service of Sable Island, in the protection of the Fisheries and preventing Smuggling - the additional expense of which shall be defrayed out of the funds belonging to Sable Island at our disposal.

His Excellency having been pleased to grant his authority for the transfer of that portion of the funds which may be necessary for this service - we beg respectfully to submit to His Excellency our hope that the amount thus expended, being not in any way connected with the Establishment at Sable Island, may be placed at the disposal of the Commissioners, at any future
period when the exigencies of that department may require it.
