with the people is the Result of it, They have not met my views with regard to annual visits to the Establishment, & They have not met my views by raising up objections and finding Fault with the Local authorities, without cause in all the Minutia of the Local affairs of which they have but a very Indistinct Idea, and they have not met my views with Regard to what was Due to me and my Family for the many Thousands of Pounds that we have made for the Establishment in a course of over Forty years with many other things in which they have not my views, The worst of which is giving all the encouragement that they can to Slander & Detraction;
Hoping your Excellency will grant me your Favour & Protection against the Insidious Acts of Designing Men. I will as in Duty Bound for your Excellency Ever [illegible]
