Gravestone of Ambrose Worthington in Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax

"In Remembrance of Ambrose Worthington of Fleetwood, England who perished in the wreck of the SS Atlantic, of which vessel he was purser, April 1, 1873, aged 23 years." One of six passengers buried here and the only one with a headstone. Erected and paid for by Thomas H. Ismay of the White Star Line, owners of the Atlantic. Mr. Worthington was a close friend of the Ismay family.
