Additional Notes: Parish of St. Stephen's Anglican Church records, Chester, include baptisms, 1762-1801, 1801-1814 (incomplete), 1814-1859; marriages, 1765-1801, 1814-1859; and burials, 1769-1801, 1812-1859. Also included are vestry records of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, 1801-1859; tombstone inscriptions from Roman Catholic graveyard, Chester, mid-1800's; tombstone inscriptions from the Baptist burying ground, Chester, mainly mid-1800's; land grants, Township of Chester; and ear marks 1842-1870.

MG 4 vol. 13 contains a typed copy of the Chester Township Book, entitled "Publishments" Marriages, Births and Deaths of the Early Families of the Township of Chester. It also contains the church records mentioned above.

MG 4 vol. 13a #1 is a copy of a section of MG 4 vol. 13. It is entitled First Book Town Records, January 25, 1869. Noted in pencil on the first page is "This is a copy of the 2nd section of MG 4 vol 13".

MG 4 vol. 13a #2 is a small handwritten book containing mostly cattle marks (1842-1870), although there are a few births (1831-1842) and marriages (1830-1848) listed as well. It contains page number references to a "Large Book" and a "Small Book" beside some of the entries.
