Woolford's Surveys: The Roads from Halifax to Windsor and Truro, 1817-18

Between miles 17 and 18 on Woolford's map.  James and Elizabeth Fenerty resided at a property known as 'Springfield.' Their son Charles was born in 1821 and later developed a process to manufacture paper from wood pulp,thereby revolutionizing the manufacturing of newspaper which had been made from linen rags (rag paper) prior to his discovery.
