The Government of Nova Scotia is preparing the 2026 to 2027 budget.

About the engagement

Nova Scotia’s population has grown in recent years and so has the demand for public services. However, global economic uncertainty is affecting Nova Scotia’s economy. The government must ensure we are spending mindfully on the programs and services most important to Nova Scotians.

We want to hear from Nova Scotians. Your feedback will help us inform priorities for the upcoming budget.

How to participate

You can participate by:

  • emailing your feedback to
  • mailing your feedback to the Department of Finance and Treasury Board
  • sending your feedback to your MLA

The deadline for feedback is 12 December 2025.

Next steps

Feedback will be reviewed by government and help finalize the 2026 to 2027 budget.
