Budget Talks 2020-21

We want Nova Scotians to help shape government’s budget for the 2020-2021 fiscal year and future budgets. Send us your ideas by Tuesday, 31 December.

Letter from the Minister

Dear Nova Scotians,

Over the past several years the province has moved toward fiscal sustainability during a period of challenging global and national economic conditions. Building on this strong foundation enables government to invest in important priorities, programs, and services to benefit all Nova Scotians.

During the next few weeks I am inviting Nova Scotians to help shape the 2020-2021 Budget and future budgets.

Hearing the thoughts and priorities of Nova Scotians is an important part of the budget process. Not every idea can be realized in this year's budget, but every voice matters.

Not every idea can be realized in this year's budget, but every voice matters. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Karen Casey
Minister of Finance and Treasury Board
