  Students enrolled in co-operative education programs at the
  Nova Scotia Community College are joining university and
  college students across Canada to observe National
  Co-operative Education Week Oct. 30 - Nov. 3.

  This year's theme "Co-op Works!" is appropriate for
  community college students who alternate academic study with
  paid work terms in their chosen field of study. Work terms
  vary from a number of weeks to several months.

  Co-op programs are offered at Lunenburg Campus, Bridgewater;
  I.W. Akerley Campus, Dartmouth; Kingstec Campus, Kentville;
  Pictou Campus, Stellarton, and Institute of Technology
  Campus, Halifax. Among the co-op education programs offered
  are: electronic engineering technician, drafting
  -architectural, electro/mechanical technician, hospitality
  services, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality and
  food services and earth resources technician (water).

  As a result of a recent federal-provincial program, small to
  medium-sized businesses and companies who employ college
  co-op students are eligible to receive a rebate on wages
  paid students. The program is designed to secure meaningful
  training for co-op students.
