The province of Nova Scotia has decided to withdraw from its
participation in the challenge by provincial governments to
notices filed by the Krever Inquiry into Canada's blood system.

The decision was reached following deliberation today by Cabinet.

Nova Scotia had joined in the provincial challenge earlier this
year to fulfil its responsibility to act on behalf of former Nova
Scotia health ministers. Former health ministers also
participated in that challenge, but decided recently to withdraw
from it.
