TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--TRAFFIC ADVISORIES ----------------------------------------------------------------- Halifax County: Trunk #1 Work is still underway on Trunk #1, Halifax County. Trunk #1 is reduced to one lane between Lucasville Road and Patton Road to allow for repaving and culverts replacement. Work is expected to be complete before the end of May. Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed and exercise caution whiling driving through construction sites. -30- Contact: Public Affairs & Communications 902-424-8687 or local area office 902-424-4126 ----------------------------------------------------------------- Pictou County: Highway 104 Beginning Monday, May 13, 1996, Highway 104 westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane from Salt Springs, Pictou County, westerly approximately 10 kilometres. Work includes pulverization to remove a section of old road, and strengthening the shoulder of the highway. The contractor is awaiting permits and excepts to begin work soon.
