NOTE TO EDITORS--SPECIAL CEREMONY ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Governor General's Office announced late yesterday (Thursday, June 6) 23 draegermen and bare-faced miners of the Westray Mine Disaster will be invited to receive Medals of Bravery at a special ceremony at Government House, Halifax, at 10 a.m., Friday, June 21. The presentations will be made by Lieutenant Governor John James Kinley on behalf of Governor General Romeo LeBlanc. Media logistics and details on the ceremony at Government House will be released on Monday, June 10.
