LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD--CEASE AND DESIST ORDERS

WILLIAM MCKAY HEATING AND PLUMBING LIMITED - NEW GLASGOW

The Construction Industry Panel of the Nova Scotia Labour
Relations
Board today announced that it has taken action to end an illegal
work stoppage that began today, (Thursday July 4) involving a
number of employees of William McKay Heating & Plumbing Ltd.,
New Glasgow. 

The complaint was filed with the panel today, requesting the
panel
to issue a cease and desist order against certain employees of
William McKay Heating & Plumbing Ltd., who are members of the
United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the Plumbing,
Steamfitting & Pipefitting Industry of the U.S. & Canada, Local
Union 244. 

An interim order has been issued by the panel directing all
employees of William McKay Heating & Plumbing Limited
participating
in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to
work at their next regularly scheduled shift and perform their
lawful duties as assigned by the employer.

BLACK AND MCDONALD LIMITED - DARTMOUTH

The Construction Industry Panel of the Nova Scotia Labour
Relations
Board announced today it has taken action to end an illegal work
stoppage which began today (Thursday, July 4) involving a number
of
employees of Black and McDonald Ltd., Dartmouth. 

The complaint was filed with the panel today, requesting the
panel
issue a cease and desist order against certain employees of Black
and McDonald Ltd., who are members of the International
Brotherhood
of Electrical Workers, Local Union 625.

An interim order has been issued by the panel directing all
employees of Black and McDonald Ltd., participating in the
illegal
work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their
next regularly scheduled shift and perform their lawful duties as
assigned by the employer.
