NOTE TO EDITORS--REPEAT-GLACE BAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OPENING

Premier John Savage, Education and Culture Minister Robbie
Harrison and Community Services Minister John MacEachern will
officially open Glace Bay Elementary School, 135 Brookside St.,
at 10:30 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 11. School board members,
school staff, students and teachers will also attend.
Glace Bay Elementary is one of the most technologically-advanced
elementary schools in the province. Following brief opening
remarks, the school plaque will be unveiled, a ribbon will be
cut, and officials and media will be given a tour of some of the
school highlights. An informal reception following the tour will
provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
