CONOMIC RENEWAL--NEW BOARD MEMBERS APPOINTED TO THE NSFDC

Economic Renewal Minister Richie Mann today confirmed four new
appointments to the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation
(NSFDC) board of directors.

These additions follow the recent appointment of Kenzie MacNeil
as the new chairman of the NSFDC board and five reappointments.

The new members are David Pember, Lunenburg; Bonita Kirby,
Halifax; Wayne Crawley, Halifax; and Vanessa Morrison, Baddeck.
Mr. Pember has a background in broadcasting and public affairs;
Ms. Kirby has a marketing and economic development background;
Mr. Crawley is a chartered accountant, with a background in
finance and management with Nova Scotia Power; and Ms. Morrison
has a background in tourism and business.

"We've assembled a team of professionals that will set the course
for Nova Scotia's growing film industry and help make it an even
bigger business than it is now," said Mr. Mann.

Nova Scotia's film industry is worth approximately $60 million.
