EDUCATION/CULTURE--COLLEGE AND MICHELIN BECOME PARTNERS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and Michelin North
America (Canada) Inc. have entered into a new technical training
partnership. Together they will bring to the marketplace the best
instructors and facilities available in the field of technical
training.

Michelin, a world wide tire manufacturer, operates three large
manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia --- in Pictou County,
Bridgewater and Kings County. Over the past two decades Michelin
has developed state-of-the-art training facilities and expertise
to train its own personnel. "At Michelin we have always believed
that training is one of the keys that unlocks our future. We are
pleased to be working with the NSCC and sharing our technology
and resources," said David Crockett, manager of technical
training, Michelin.

"We are very excited about this partnership, because it broadens
and heightens our resource base for technical training in Nova
Scotia," said Anne Rodger, coordinator of customized training for
NSCC.

The Nova Scotia Community College is committed to providing Nova
Scotian businesses, industries and governments with the training
necessary to support the economic health of the province. The
college serves the needs of local and provincial organizations
with a network of community education and training officers, who
provide the coordination, planning and delivery services.

This partnership introduces 48 new topics of training at NSCC
campuses throughout Nova Scotia. Clients will be able to benefit
from the combined resources and expertise of these two training
leaders.
