BUSINESS/CONSUMER SERVICES--SERVICES EXPANDING IN DARTMOUTH

The Dartmouth Superstore Mall on Portland Street will be the site
of expanded provincial government services to area residents,
Sandy Jolly, business and consumer services minister, announced
today.
"This new centre will feature full Registry of Motor Vehicle
services, information about government programs and services,
consumer and residential tenancies services, and selected
business licensing and registration services," Ms. Jolly said.
The centre is expected to open later this summer in the space
formerly occupied by Consumers Distributing.
"The population of Dartmouth and area has grown considerably in
recent years, but access to government services has not kept up,"
said Ms. Jolly. "This centre should go a long way to rectifying
this situation."
About 40 staff members, who will move from existing metro
offices, will work in the new centre.
