Digital Image F/X, one of InNOVAcorp's incubating companies at
its technology innovation centre, is officially opening its
virtual reality lab in Dartmouth at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow
(Thursday, May 22). It is housed within InNOVAcorp's innovation
centre at 101 Research Drive, Woodside Industrial Park.
The new facility will be a focal point for promoting and
developing virtual reality technology across Canada said Dr. Ross
McCurdy, InNOVAcorp's chief executive officer.

The lab will showcase cutting-edge technology and the most
up-to-date equipment to help organizations and business reap the 
benefits of virtual reality technology.

A technology centre for educational development will be located
at the lab and will concentrate on computer aided learning
applications and Internet-based distance education modules.

Digital F/X is currently the only company in Canada that uses
virtual reality technology to build effective medical training

InNOVAcorp supports growing technology companies like Digital by 
providing mentoring and incubation services as they develop and 
target new technologies and new opportunities.
