Occupational Health and Safety Code and Standard Reference Updates

Background

Safety codes and standards are a set of specifications that outline safety requirements in a workplace. Codes and standards are written and updated by international organizations including the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The OSGRs and WHSRs require workplace parties to maintain legal compliance with any newly released editions of the codes and standards referenced within each set of regulations.
