Supports & Services
To date, the Strategy has:
- Supported nine Community Support Networks (CSN) with $2.5M in grants to coordinate counselling and support services, provide navigation support and make services and supports more visible and inclusive. Email strategy@novascotia.ca to get involved in the CSN in your region!
- The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program is currently being expanded to both the Eastern and Western regions of the province and services will be available in the near future.
- Provided four professional development sessions to phone operators at both 211 and 811. This training focused on how to respond to calls related to sexual violence in a trauma-informed manner.
