Recreational Water

As of July 1, 2015 the inspection, compliance and enforcement functions from several provincial government departments came together under Nova Scotia Environment.

Throughout the year Nova Scotians and visitors to the province enjoy a variety of recreational water experiences at public parks, beaches and public or commercial swimming pools.

While an important part of an active lifestyle, these settings may also present a variety of health hazards that require careful management to ensure the health of users is protected.
