Injury Prevention - Road Safety

Road safety related injuries have been identified as the greatest contributor to the human and economic costs associated with injury in the province. Motor vehicle crash injuries cost Nova Scotia $74 million per year, or roughly 20% of the total economic impact injury has annually on the province.

We are currently working on projects regarding youth road safety, impaired driving, car seat safety, and in supporting the work of the Road Safety Advisory Committee, a provincial committee responsible for helping government develop road safety priorities and programs, and provide advice to the government.
