If you're a resident of Nova Scotia going to study outside of the province you must provide proof of full-time enrollment from the university or college you're attending to make sure you continue to get health coverage. You need to send proof of full-time enrollment to fax number 902-481-3160 (include your Health Card number and phone number where you can be reached). If the correspondence from the university indicates you will be enrolled in a multi-year program, your eligibility will correspond to the program dates indicated. This documentation should be sent no later than 30 September 2022.

If you are a full-time student from another Canadian province, you are not eligible for MSI coverage. Your home province will continue to provide coverage as long as you are a student. Contact your home province to ensure your coverage is maintained.
