Direct-to-consumer alcohol sales

Nova Scotia is removing barriers so consumers can buy alcohol directly from their favourite out-of-province producers and open up new opportunities for our local industry.

Nova Scotia has signed a direct-to-consumer agreement with Ontario. We continue to negotiate with other provinces and territories.

Ontario producers seeking to sell direct to Nova Scotia consumers need to apply for authorization by the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC). More information can be found on the NSLC website.

Nova Scotian alcoholic beverage producers seeking to sell direct-to-consumer into Ontario will need to apply for authorization by the LCBO. More information can be found on the LCBO website.
