Direct-to-consumer alcohol sales
Nova Scotia is removing barriers so consumers can buy alcohol directly from their favourite out-of-province producers and open up new opportunities for our local industry.
Nova Scotia has signed a direct-to-consumer agreement with several other provinces that will provide greater choice for consumers and access to more markets for alcohol producers.
Consumers aged 19 or older may order alcoholic beverages directly from producers for personal consumption only.
Alcohol producers in other Canadian markets seeking to sell direct to Nova Scotia consumers need to apply for authorization by the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC). More information can be found on the NSLC website.
Nova Scotian alcoholic beverage producers seeking to sell direct-to-consumer into participating provinces will need to apply for authorization in those respective provinces. More information can be found at the following websites:

- Prince Edward Island
- Newfoundland and Labrador
Direct-to-consumer sales are only available in the provinces and territories listed above. Online alcohol sales in regions not listed is not yet legally available.
