March 21, 2018UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, NOVEMBER 2017 TO JANUARY 2018
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period November 2017 to January 2018 was 4.3 per cent. This is down from the rate of 4.7 per cent reported for the same months a year ago.
There were 1.45 million unemployed people, 24,000 more than the period August to October 2017, and 127,000 fewer than for a year earlier.
Employment was at 32.25 million, 168,000 more than in August to October 2017, and 402,000 more than for a year earlier.
