JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE APRIL 2018

Current Account

In Japan April 2018, the current account increased 113 billion yen; resulting in a surplus of 1,886 billion yen over March 2018.

 

 

In April 2018, Japan reported

  • a net international trade (goods and services) surplus of 520 billion yen,
  • a primary income surplus of 1,509 billion yen, and
  • a secondary income (transfers) deficit of 143 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance

In April 2018, Japan 's net international trade (goods and services) increased 192 billion yen; resulting in a surplus of 520 billion yen.

Goods exports increased 303 billion yen to 6,863 billion yen, goods imports increased 124 billion yen to 6,194 billion yen, net international goods trade increased 179 billion yen; resulting in a surplus of 669 billion yen,

Net international services trade increased 13 billion yen; resulting in a deficit of 149 billion yen over March 2018.
