The 22,270 new motor vehicles sold in Jan-May 2018 represent a value of $797.8 millions, down 5.5% over Jan-May 2017.
In Canada Jan-May 2018, New Motor Vehicles Unit Sales increased 0.6% over Jan-May 2017.
The 854,478 new motor vehicles sold in Jan-May 2018 represent a value of $35.7 billions, up 6.3% over Jan-May 2017.
In Nova Scotia Jan-May 2018, North American manufactured new motor vehicles Sales Value decreased 9.3% (78.2% share) over Jan-May 2017.
New Motor Vehicles manufactured in other countries increased 11.0% (21.8% share) over Jan-May 2017.
In Nova Scotia Jan-May 2018, North American manufactured new motor vehicles Unit Sales decreased 9.7% (75.8% share) over Jan-May 2017. New Motor Vehicles manufactured in other countries increased 10.3% (24.2% share) over Jan-May 2017.

- passenger cars unit sales decreased 7.7% to 7,793 units over Jan-May 2017.

- truck unit sales decreased 4.4% to 14,477 units over Jan-May 2017.
- truck sales value decreased 5.3% to $591,472 over Jan-May 2017.
The truck share of the sales value stands at 74.1%, and the unit sales volume stands at 65.0%
In Nova Scotia Jan-May 2018, the average unit price for trucks decreased to $40,856, and average unit price for cars increased to $26,471 over Jan-May 2017.
