December 24, 2018UK CURRENT ACCOUNTS, Q3 2018 In 2018 Q3, the UK current account deficit widened by £6.6 billion to £26.5 billion
The UK goods and services trade deficit widened by £1.8 billion to £8.8 billion.
The deficit in goods widened by £0.4 billion to £35.0 billion, while the surplus in services declined by £1.4 billion to £26.2 billion.
The net primary income deficit increased by £3.6 billion to £11.1 billion.
The net secondary income transfers deficit decreased by £1.2 billion to £6.6 billion.
Total net trade deficit increased to £8.8 billion as the net services surplus declined to £26.2 billion, and the net goods deficit increased to £35.0 billion.
Goods exports increased £2.9 billion to £88.9 billion, and goods imports increased £3.3 billion to £123.9 billion for an increased deficit of £35.0 billion.
Services exports decreased £1.0 billion to £69.7 billion, and services imports increased £313 million to £43.5 billion, for a decreased surplus of £26.2 billion.
