CANADA INTERNATIONAL MERCHANDISE TRADE, NOVEMBER 2018

In November 2018, the Canadian merchandise trade (balance of payment basis, seasonally adjusted) deficit grew by $1.21 billion to reach a deficit position of of $2.06 billion.

Exports are down 2.9% to $48.3 billion over October 2018, and are up 4.4% over November 2017.  Imports are down 0.5% to $50.4 billion over October 2018, and are up 2.4% over November 2017.

In November 2018, the Canadian merchandise trade (balance of payment basis, seasonally adjusted) surplus with the United States narrowed to $2.176 billion.

Year-to-date

In the period Jan-Nov 2018, the year-to-date Canadian merchandise trade deficit reached $18.7 billion .

Year-to-date goods Exports were valued at $537.2 billion and  year-to-date goods Imports were valued at $555.9 billion.
