EU AND EURO AREA GDP, Q3 2019 [FLASH]

 

In the flash estimate, Eurostat reports that real GDP growth accelerated to 1.1 per cent (seasonally adjusted annualized rate) in the European Union and up to the rate of 0.9 per cent in the Euro Area in the third quarter of 2019. The preliminary estimates were 1.2 per cent in European Union and 0.8 per cent in the Euro Area. In the previous quarter, real GDP rose 0.6 per cent in the European Union and 0.8 per cent in the Euro Area.

Comparing Q3 2019 with Q3 2018, seasonally adjusted real GDP rose by 1.3 per cent in the European Union and 1.2 per cent in the Euro Area.
