US TRADE BALANCE, NOVEMBER 2019

In November 2019, US Goods and Services trade deficit narrowed by $3.9 billion to $43.1 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $3.9 billion to $63.9 billion. The services trade surplus narrowed by $0.04 billion to $20.8 billion.

Monthly exports increased by $1.4 billon to $208.6 billion. Goods exports increased by $1.0 billion to $137.2 billion, and services exports increased by $0.4 billion to $71.5 billion.

US imports were down $2.5 billion to $251.7 billion, reflecting a $2.9 billion decrease to $201.1 billion in goods imports and a $0.4 billionncrease to $50.7 billion in services imports.

On a year-to-date basis, the US trade deficit narrowed by $3.9 billion to $563.0 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $15.2 billion to $791.2 billion. The services trade surplus narrowed by $11.3 billion to $228.3 billion.
