IIn Nova Scotia 2019, New Motor Vehicles Unit Sales decreased 3.1% over 2018.The 51,146 new motor vehicles sold in 2019 represent a sales value of $1,975 billion, up 2.8% over 2018.
In Canada 2019, New Motor Vehicles Unit Sales decreased 3.7% over 2018. The 1,961,288 new motor vehicles sold in 2019 represent a sales value of $85.1 billion, down 0.5% over 2018.
Country of Manufacturer
In Nova Scotia 2019, North American manufactured new motor vehicles Unit Sales decreased 3.4% (73.5% share) over 2018. North American manufactured new motor vehicles Sales Value increased 2.5% (76.2% share) over 2018.
In Nova Scotia 2019, for New Motor Vehicles manufactured overseas, Unit Sales decreased 2.3% (26.5% share) over 2018. For New Motor Vehicles manufactured overseas, Sales Value increased 3.9% (23.8% share) over 2018.
Passenger Cars and Trucks
In Nova Scotia 2019, passenger car Unit Sales decreased 18.5% (27.5% share) to 14,042 units over, and passenger car Sales Value decreased 13.6% (20.1% share) to $397 million over 2018.
In Nova Scotia 2019, truck/SUV Unit Sales increased 4.3% (72.5% share) to 37,104 units over 2018, and truck/SUV Sales Value increased 8.0% (79.9% share) to $1.6 billion over 2018.
Average Prices
In Nova Scotia 2019, the new motor vehicles average price increased 6.1% over 2018 to $38,610, the passenger car average price increased 6.0% over 2018 to $28,306, the truck/suv average price increased 3.5% over 2018 to $42,510.
In Canada 2019, the new motor vehicles average price increased 3.3% over 2018 to $43,399.
