US TRADE BALANCE, FEBRUARY 2020

In February 2020, US Goods and Services trade deficit narrowed by $5.6 billion to $39.9 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $5.9 billion to $61.2 billion. The services trade surplus narrowed by $0.4 billion to $21.3 billion.

Monthly exports decreased by $0.8 billon to $207.5 billion. Goods exports increased by $1.0 billion to $137.2 billion, and services exports decreased by $1,715.0 million to $70.3 billion.

US imports were down $6.3 billion to $247.5 billion, reflecting a $5.0 billion decrease to $198.4 billion in goods imports and a $1,355.0 million decrease to $49.1 billion in services imports.

On a year-to-date basis, the US trade deficit narrowed by $19.7 billion to $85.4 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by $16.5 billion to $128.3 billion. The services trade surplus widened by $3.2 billion to $42.9 billion.
