CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, APRIL 2020

NOVA SCOTIA

In Nova Scotia April 2020, the Consumer Price Index (CPI)(index 2002=100) decreased 1.0 per cent from March 2020 to 136.6 and decreased 0.6 per cent over April 2019.  The CPI, excluding food and energy, decreased  0.5 per cent from March 2020 and increased 1.5 per cent over April 2019. 

 

CANADA 

In Canada April 2020, the Consumer Price Index (index 2002=100) decreased 0.7 per cent from March 2020 to 135.7 and decreased 0.2 per cent over April 2019.  The CPI, excluding food and energy, decreased 0.3 per cent from March 2020 and increased 1.3 per cent over April 2019. 

 

HALIFAX

In Halifax April 2020, the Consumer Price Index (index 2002=100) decreased 1.0 per cent from March 2020 to 135.5 and decreased 0.3 per cent over April 2019.
