FARM PRODUCT PRICES, JUNE 2020

 

Nova Scotia Month-over-month Sectors

 

In Jun 2020 vs May 2020, Nova Scotia  Farm Product Prices for:

  • Wheat (except durum wheat)  increased 4.0%  ($10.60 per metric tonne)  to $275.57 per metric tonne
  • Cattle for slaughter increased 4.2%  ($4.48 per hundredweight)  to $110.46 per hundredweight
  • Chickens for meat  increased 1.3%  ($0.03 per kilogram)  to $2.33 per kilogram
  • Unprocessed milk from bovine  decreased 0.6%  (-$4.50 per kilolitre)  to $752.34 per kilolitre
  • Eggs in shell increased 0.6%  ($0.01 per dozen)  to $1.80 per dozen

 

Nova Scotia Year-over-year Sectors

 

In Jun 2020 to Jun 2019, Nova Scotia  Farm Product Prices (Year-over-year) for: 

  • Wheat (except durum wheat)  increased 14.1%  ($34.03 per metric tonne)  to $275.57 per metric tonne
  • Oats increased 5.4%  ($12.38 per metric tonne)  to $240.76 per metric tonne
  • Barley  increased 11.7%  ($26.99 per metric tonne)  to $257.20 per metric tonne
  • Corn for grain decreased 8.9%  (-$23.26 per metric tonne)  to $239.34 per metric tonne
  • Cattle for slaughter increased 8.2%  ($8.41 per hundredweight)  to $110.46 per hundredweight
  • Cattle for feeding  increased 16.5%  ($23.13 per hundredweight)  to $163.31 per hundredweight
  • Calves for feeding increased 16.7%  ($25.85 per hundredweight)  to $181.01 per hundredweight
  • Hogs decreased 24.8%  (-$25.08 per kilogram)  to $75.93 per hundredweight
  • Chickens for meat  increased 5.9%  ($0.13 per kilogram)  to $2.33 per kilogram
  • Turkeys for meat increased 1.3%  ($0.03 per kilogram)  to $2.39 per kilogram
  • Unprocessed milk from bovine  increased 3.0%  ($22.16 per kilolitre)  to $752.34 per kilolitre
  • Eggs in shell was unchanged at  $1.80 per dozen
