YEAR-OVER-YEAR (July 2020 vs July 2019)
In Nova Scotia, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) (index 2002=100) decreased 0.5 per cent over July 2019. The CPI excluding food and energy increased 0.6 per cent over July 2019.
In Canada, the CPI increased 0.1 per cent over July 2019. The CPI excluding food and energy increased 0.5 per cent over July 2019.
In Halifax, the CPI decreased 0.4 per cent over July 2019.
MONTH-OVER-MONTH (July 2020 vs June 2020)
In Nova Scotia, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) (index 2002=100) increased 0.1 per cent from June 2020. The CPI excluding food and energy decreased 0.3 per cent from June 2020.
In Canada, the CPI was unchanged from June 2020. The CPI excluding food and energy decreased 0.2 per cent from June 2020.
In Halifax, the CPI was unchanged from June 2020.
